High Existing Home Sales Start of the Year

High Existing Home Sales Start of the Year

With a shortage of homes available on the market and increasing sales prices, many potential buyers are waiting to purchase their dream home. But that hasn’t stopped the existing home sales from reaching their highest level since 2006! The positive trends that we saw in 2021 are continuing into the new year.

YTD Median Sales Price increased 14.2%

YTD Days on Market decreased 15.4%

Monthly supply of inventory decreased 33.3%

Homes for Sale decreased 35.4%

“For many buyers, 2022 marks a new opportunity to make their home purchase dreams a reality. But it won’t be without its challenges. Inventory of existing homes was at 910,000 at the start of the new year, the lowest level recorded since 1999, and competition remains fierce.” – National Association of REALTORS®.

But at Meredith Bay, you don’t need to put your purchase plans on hold! We currently have five spec homes, with one expected to be move-in-ready this year and two already under agreement. You can follow the construction of these stunning lake homes here.  Or you can always build your own custom home on the lake with a variety of different homesites, just pick your favorite one and we’ll make your dream lake home come to life.
