5 Reasons Why the Bluegill Lodge is Perfect for Winter
Calling All Chionophiles
If you love all things winter – from the moment you hit the slopes to watching the snow fall on the Lake from beside a cozy fireplace – you’re a chionophile: a person who thrives in the cold weather! If that sounds like you, we have your perfect home. Meredith Bay’s Bluegill Lodge offers luxury, single-floor condos situated on an idyllic hillside overlooking Lake Winni, all outfitted with a rich list of winter-ready features:
DRIVE RIGHT IN
There’s nothing better than driving your car right into the heated underground garage at the Bluegill Lodge, then taking the elevator directly into your unit, especially after a fun but tiring day on the slopes. Well, except for maybe enjoying beautiful views of Lake Winnipesaukee when you arrive at your warm unit.
If you’re a snow lover, then our walking trails are the perfect winter adventure! Whether you want to cross-country ski, snowshoe, or even snowmobile, our community-wide network of walking trails are just a few steps away from the Bluegill Lodge.
STOKED FOR SKIING?
Meredith Bay residents can be at Gunstock Mountain in under 20 minutes, and Loon Mountain and Waterville Valley are only an hour away. You can pick a favorite or explore a new mountain each weekend, but the fun is guaranteed!
Want to enjoy a night in? We won’t judge! The Bluegill Lodge units are warm and welcoming making them the perfect place to relax for a night in. Just flick the switch and gather the family around the warm fireplace for a movie night, game night, or curl up on the sofa with a good book — it’s the best way to create special family memories.
DON’T SWEAT IT
Just because Bluegill residents don’t have to worry about shoveling snow doesn’t mean they can’t sneak in some sweat time! Our weekly fitness classes right in the building make working out easy. Our trainer Melissa Knott is certified by NASM, has a background in functional fitness, and plenty of experience with cross-training programs. She hosts a full-body, functional workout class every Saturday and all levels are welcome!
Of course, the Bluegill Lodge isn’t just for winter. From swimming or kayaking in the lake to enjoying pool-side yoga classes or harvesting vegetables in the community garden, Meredith Bay residents enjoy amenities and community activities that amount to nothing less than four seasons of outright fun.
